Acoustic Wave Technique

An acoustic-wave generating piezoelectric device is custom-fabricated on a wafer die smaller than a fingernail.
The devices are surface mounted onto a thin flexible circuit.
The flexible circuit is inserted underneath the battery module as part of the manufacturing process.
When turned on, an acoustic wave induces homogeneity of Lithium-Ions resulting in less lithium plating and limiting dendritic formation, greatly improving the battery’s performance envelope.
